    Happy New Year!
May this year be filled with Health, peace and happiness to all!

    Very simple question:

    Can this “composite shape”
be done in 3D in Xara?

    Happy new year

if you mean: can you manipulate shapes in 3D space the answer is no - xara does not do 3D space

you can represent 3D shapes in 2D space, and the extrude tool allows some degree of automatic redrawing, but it is always a 2D object

There is always a Xara way.

Engineering drawing approach for a plan view or schooldays' nets:

The second image is just made with a left-side downward vertical Skew of the leftmost box and a horizonal bottom-left Skew for the others.
Always change the sizes from the plan view and then skew.

I added a curved bevel for the front face.

If you want perspective, you can adjust individual vertices to suit.

subject to the program's many limitations

plenty of ways to do it as a 2D render no doubt about that...
