Splitting one website into two

We have a website featuring several sections, all related to my artist-wife's abstract art - https://rtfact.co.uk. The guitar section is distinctly different in content and price and because it seems to not get traction as part of the single site, we've decided to split it off.

It will become https://guitar-art.co.uk

We don't want to separate it completely so we'll have links from it back to rtfact.co.uk and vv of course but we want it to mainly stand alone. We shall also use the same paypal account. Technically both sites (and my other sites eg philiphowells.co.uk) are add-ons to my main business account at UK2.

I'm not sure to what extent I can cut and paste elements - say whole pages - from one xar project to another and my question is to ask if there's one recommended way to achieve what I'm trying to do.

Alternatively you might say just create a new project from scratch.

The simplest approach could be to save the XAR document under a different name, delete the 'Wall Art ' and 'Small-Scale' pages; change the text as required to focus exclusively 'Guitar Art' and update the links and Navbar.

Alternatively, you could copy and paste the relevant pages into a new XAR document, or start from scratch or a combination of both.

Gary, thanks for your very helpful reply. I hoped that the solution might be as straightforward as you suggest.

My past experience of thinking logically and ending up with a dog's breakfast prompted me to ask. Thank you.

Personally, I would go one step further and combine the Home and Guitar Art pages, have a Heading 1 text 'Hand-Painted Guitars'. This would give a more content-rich landing page.

May I suggest that you also have the menu bar at the top of your 'Blog' page. At present there is no consistent way to directly navigate to other pages from the Blog page.
