    Default Resizing a slide show

I’ve got a big batch of photos for a slideshow gallery. The slideshow is from the widget gallery.
I’d like to change the size of the widget after completing.
May I drag one of the corners, bottom right corner to increase the size?
I realize this will have some quality effects on the images.
    Thanks everyone in advance.

    Bill,

Xara slider widgets can be tricky to resize - which one have you in mind?

Acorn created the Ultimate Slider v3 (example from me here): https://initiostar.co.uk/demo/ultSli...imple-slider-d and more here from me: https://initiostar.co.uk/demo/zNivo/.

All of these are resizable and easy to embed into your main site.

Thanks Gary. The one I was going to use is a typical from the catalogue. I enclosed a screen shot.

Bill, this is how I would alter the "Slideshow with bottom thumbs":
    • Establish your image dimensions. Currently 400x600px.
    • I am going to cheat here and just double everything.
    • In the Widget view, change the slide page sizes to your new dimensions.
    • Add your images at this sizing; 800x1200px.
    • Open the Names Dialog.
    • Select each H and each V image and where there are terms like WTag:scaled():..., change to:
      • H: WTag:scaled(1120):image
      • H: WTag:scaled(150):thumb
      • V: WTag:scaled(480):image
      • V: WTag:scaled(66):thumb

    • If that works, calculate the scaling values you need for your HiRes images and adjust pages sizes and scalings.
    • Selecting Retina for your images to be rendered at 192dpi does not work.

This is a far better approach: PgwJS - Responsive Slider with Thumbs - Optimised.xar.
I can talk it through if you need guidance.

Many thanks @acorn. The sizing actually works by dragging the bottom left indicator. I’ll also try the above.

Dragging is just changing the size of the Placeholder not the quality of the images, which is what I thought you wanted.
