Xara Snowflake Generator

If you have XDPX or Pro+ then you have Live Copies so you should be able to create your own unique snowflakes: Xara - Snowflake Generator.xar

The shapes have a setting of 0px so you can see where the repeated patterns are.

Each snowflake in nature has a rotational 6-fold symmetry and has a 3-axis mirror symmetry.
You can pick one up (carefully and with mitts), turn it 60⁰ and drop it back in place and it would look the same.
You could also flip it and it is the same.

I have created two set of Live Copies. The larger Live Copy creates the main body.
The small one creates the shapes at the ends of the arms of the main body.
You can have as many or as few of these as you choose in sets of six.

When you edit either of the two master Live Copies, the position of the other version ensure the snowflake's symmetry.

When you create your final snowflake from your design, you have a filigree pattern that in Pro+ renders as an SVG; in XDPX, it should be set to be a PNG/WebP.

The rest is up to you.

Missing something here Acorn. When I open your xar file and preview and look at 'View Image Info' in FF it creates a 120 different png's which isn't desirable surely?

Yup! You are missing the point that the file is a generator and the output is a shape that you copy elsewhere. Live Copies are special groups that do not render into SVGs.

The instructions in the generator create a last snowflake that is a Shape, so no.
