    Default Rudolph's Revenge

    Hi again, all!

Well, let's face it, with Halloween over, it's pretty much the Christmas season, amirite?

So I created this Christmas comic using Xara and PSE4.

    Feedback would be awesome!

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Thanks guys! Someone at another forum thought "revenge" was too strong a word, so would "Rudolph on Twitter" be a better title? Also, is it funny? (I thought it was, but I'm a bit eccentric...)

I like that design a lot - you have drawn rudolph in a way that really says what he is thinking

'rudolph's revenge' has a nice ring to it, but is it the correct phrase - revenge does not have to be strong in itself, but it might be excessive for what is being done as it is only revenge if dancer and the rest care about being blocked, so it would depend on how the reader interpreted it as to how appropriate it is

'rudolph on twitter' is good, it encapsulates the senario very well

... yes it is funny in context, mind you I am more than a bit eccentric, but humour is part of my trade and it comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes.. first rule is always know your audience, will they find it funny

Very good, indeed. I like it.

Can I ask what you needed 'PSE4' for?

from previous posts I think TC prefers to draw the line art in xara and do the colouring in PSE4

when line art is 'broken line' ie, it has a lot of deliberate gaps colouring in xara can likely mean a lot of extra work as it is unforgiving in this respect - also if you draw freehand with a brush making lots of strokes each of which has its own character in terms of pressure profile etc, you cannot just combine them in xara without them being homogenised [so to speak]

a magic wand with adjustable tolerance to cater for gaps and a pixel bucket [flood] fill is quicker and easier; and if done at a suitable resolution is in fine for print [and for that matter animation, although I use PT-SAI rather than PS]
