    Default Metal fills?

    Hello

Are there any additional fills (for Xara Design Pro X - v18.5) that we can just download from Xara.com?

The Fill Gallery comes with: Brick, Fabric, Ground, Plant, Stone & Wood...
...but I am looking for a metal finish, ideally Brushed Steel or Brushed Aluminium.

    Many thanks

    J

shipen, Xara provides a very limited range indeed.
All these fill are just jpegs that have a seamless texture.

Just try a Search: brushed aluminium steel seamless texture fill.
I am sure you'll find something.

Just type 'Brushed Steel' or 'Brushed Aluminium' into Google Images and fill your boots with the results. (Acorn beat me to it!)

Hmm... I did have a quick look, but I can't find anything that:
    A) looks like FLAT brushed metal
    B) look like a bright bit of chrome or steel (rather than a dull grey aluminium)
    C) have a grain brushed stroke at an angle off vertical (ideally a shallow angle like 20 or 30 degrees off vertical)
    D) if possible repeat cleanly without borders

    Everything seems to either:
    - look like rather dull grey metal and/or
    - look like a cylindrical rather than flat piece of metal and/or
    - fail to repeat cleanly and/or
    - have an annoying logo in it !

TBH, I still can't find anything that works - mostly random metal objects rather than metal textures.... but thank you. Very well worth knowing about

    Cheers

Did you do a Google search? E.g., https://www.google.com/search?q=seam...F_enNL881NL881

You can easily create your own J:

    DEMO
    Attached Files Attached Files
    Egg

Intel i7 - 4790K Quad Core + 16 GB Ram + NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 Graphics Card + MSI Optix Mag321 Curv monitor
    + Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB SSD + 232 GB SSD + 250 GB SSD portable drive + ISP = BT + Web Hosting = TSO Host

Combination of Boy and Egg; select one you can work with, use fills, transparencies and colours to suit:

Egg's demo is useful but @shipen might not realise how to take anything and make it seamless.

The larger, lower block is a rectangle with the letter B, clone and flipped to the right and both cloned and flipped down.
All four were then selected and a Bitmap Copy make.
The result is a seamless repeating pattern.

Just do the same for a metallic design that otherwise may not be seamless.

Clearly, the pattern ought to be subtle enough.
Patterns of different scales can be stacked in semi-opaque layering to make the design seem more random.
