Vimeo video question

Video has always challenged me a bit. I know how to include YouTube into my sites but now I’ve got a Vimeo.

I have a Vimeo video that has size options for me to download. Including width and height etc. Should I download a size that fits the particular variant. I have a 1500 and a 700 size variant.

Do I treat the placeholder code as I would YouTube, or is Vimeo a bit different. Thanks!
