Default Stereograms coming out the Yin yang

Yin and yang is one of my favorite subjects for stereograms. Here are two recent examples. Baroque Yin & yang takes advantage of Xara's Select Colors to Enhance function to drop out parts of the overlaid images so there are three levels of transparency.

And I wondered what would happen if I applied a Diamond fill to the Yin and yang. The result is a very box-like image.

I find the first one, delicate as it is, absolutely lovely!! The second one is interesting with its unexpected angular surface.

    Here's the depth image.

Both Yin and yang have a matching Diamond fill with the same outside color (50% black) and the centers having white for the Yin and black for the yang.

The background also has a Diamond fill.

I keep trying and for a split second I could almost see them.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Then there may be hope. If your eyes function reasonable well, you should be able to see a stereo image. But remember don't focus on the image itself because you will never see the hidden 3D. You have to focus slightly behind the image. Once you get one, the next one is much easier.

me I find open patterns easier as in the first here [excellent gary]

whereas the second one is a lot more difficult because there is no background [behind] to focus onto in the image [in my case i defocus on it if that makes any sense]

Defocus sounds good. Both images have a background, But the first image with the multi-layers has a mid-ground and the spherical shapes come forward and go behind the middle ground.

thanks - I was not being technical I know

what I meant was that the first image, in 2D, looks like a lot of flowers laid on a black surface; that surface gives 'continuity' to the defocusing, a point of reference if you will

there is no such visible surface in the second image, it is all objects; that makes it much more difficult for me to know where to fix my vision to start the defocusing

I like the hexagonal shaped yin-yang Gary, interesting idea.
