    Default color profile

    I have just used the default color profile not knowing what this fully means, there is a long list which one should I select?
    Using DF 18.5 w10

    basically, if you work in RGB or HSV colour modes and you never worried about colour profiles before you still don't need to

    CMYK you may need to

    colour profiles are a way of 'syncing' the colours between devices, so that you always get the same result even when using a range of different monitors, printers etc, or between programs that support them

    eg: they are important in printing as the paper used can affect the colour, so profiles can be used to compensate for this

    As I do not do any commercial prints it is has not been any concern.
    I was setting up DP+ for first time came across the View>Color set to 'US web coated' with a list of other options, I was just curious and wondered if I should leave as is or am I missing something or why have I missed this over the years.

    You answered your own question, Peter. If you don't do commercial printing, then you do not need to worry about color profiles.

    You are right then sometimes curiosity comes into play.
    Have to learn things everyday otherwise lockdown brain will also go that way.
