    Thanks Larry and all.

    @Handrawn, re: Mac mini - yes (and no!) If I were totally honest with myself I probably should have stuck with Windows!!!

    I don't regret getting it at all, in fact there's a lot to like, the speed especially and the almost instant awake from sleep, and I know there's much more to discover. It's just I'm still fingers and thumbs and frustrated, particularly with the change of keyboard shortcuts for simple tasks like cut and paste. (Cmd-c instead of Ctrl-c, etc). I'm also having to get to grips with new apps. So all these things interfere with workflow and quite often stop me in my tracks. I know it will get easier as the days pass.

    On a positive note, I've just upgraded my ancient copy of ArtRage and have been experimenting with non-vector painting which has been quite liberating for doing loose sketching and watercolours. It has an innovative feature for rotating the canvas which is wonderful for sketching. Cheers, Jono

    (ArtRage sketch example, along with a variant of my original scribble)

    Love the lamp fish, Jono!

    I am in the process of thinking about either a memory boost to my aging Windows desktop, or moving to 'The Dark Side' as you have done.
    Aside from the shortcuts, (or the cost) any other major drawbacks with the Mac compared with Windows?

    @jono

    I recently upgraded artrage to ver 6

    be it said I only ever use the pencil tool 99.9% of the time, but since artrage recognises tilt which PTSAI does not, and has lovely canvas texture [which again in PTSAI is very basic],it is easy to mimic pencil sketching on waterford etc and a whole load easier than doing it in corel painter; artrage ver 6 now has pencil smoothing reason I upgraded; and yes the canvas rotation is great
