I bought a new computer and have no idea if i need a password to install my old Xara pro 10.
I have no idea what it was or even if I needed one.
How do I find out so Best Buy can install it

if you bought it online from xara/magix the product key [not password] will be in your magix account - you will need to logon, for which you will need the email address you used when you purchased and account password; if the email address is still live, the account password can be reset

if you do not have the email account anymore, then it's magix support and you may need to prove your purchase

Thanks, will most likely have to be without Xara, as it was a gift nany years ago and I believe before
Magix was involved. Will just have to wait till i can afford to purchase Xara again.

if your info was in originally in your old xara account it will have been transferred to magix - but if it was a gift it may never have been registered in the first place - do you still have old computer, there is a way to access your key if you do from within the program, not sure how, but acorn will know

It all hinges on whether you can access your old PC, your XDA and the email account your registered XDPXv10 with!
Open XDPXv10, press Shift+Ctrl+Alt+1 and record the Serial number (P2-nnnnn-nnnnn-nnnnn-nnnnn-nnnnn-nnnnn).
Magix should accept that as proof of licence ownership.

All you then need is the email you used to register it.

Xara transferred your details to Magix so a record will still exist.
