I'm splitting the difference. Other Gary's script is easier to use and modify once you get past the Anglicized spelling. But your idea for a cleaner tiling background is a great challenge.

So, speaking of challenges, I'm going to start a new Seamless Tiling Background Challenge in the Challenges forum. Stand by.

Other Gary - The tile contains elements that when repeated make a whole pattern.

In the attached, the tile contains one full circle and four quarter circles. But when you repeat the tile (as per yours and Acorn's scripts) creates a seamless pattern.

Does that make sense?

Gary, if you use background-position: center center; that should work.

I failed you in suggesting it was 'centre' in earlier Posts, now corrected!
