Default My first book of fiction

Over the pandemic year I have been working on a collection of 16 short stories. My first book of fiction. It was a challenge and I am very happy with the results. I even surprised Mary who has now written 4 novels. The book was designed and produced in Designer Pro+ and is now available on Amazon. 16 stories, 171 pages.

For many problems there are simple and easy-to-understand solutions that do not work.

I can only take credit for finding the cover photo. It was a lucky find on Shutterstock. I was looking for bracket clock photos and came across this distorted dial photo which works perfectly with the title story.

Amazon always discounts books. I'll sign it for you next time you're in Albuquerque. How's that?

a kind offer, but the likelyhood of me ever visiting the US again is remote, although I have been to albuquerque in the past [as you may remember me mentioning] but I think before you moved off the west coast

Congratulations, Gary! Big achievement. Did you also involve an editor?

    Nice cover too!

Absolutely. I had the right number of commas, it's just they were all in the wrong places. My wife who has now written 5 books (all that I have art directed and produced) also helped with the editing and made several suggestions that really helped.
