Can't find where to activate PMs feature

I've had a good look around my profile and board settings but can't find where to activate PMs. I have got the email options ticked (which also mention PMs):

But I still have "No PMs" next to my name.

Can someone point me to where I can get PMs activated?

you do not get PM permission until you have been a member for a while and have made a minimum number of meaningful posts; this number can vary I think, if the mods decide you are not taking an active part in the forum; spammers get banned

you are welcome - when I was mod the number was around 25, but that was 10 year ago...

I seem to remember it being 30 posts ... but that was a long time ago.

Thanks everyone, it's more of a case of annoyance that I couldn't find where the setting was.

Keep posting. You are probably close. You won't need to activate anything. The capability will just be there. I am not sure if anyone remembers what the magic number is.
