Keyboard shortcuts work in Word

I was editing a document in Word and instinctively pressed Ctrl Alt - (which is one of the keyboard shortcuts in Xara for an em dash, —) And whatdouyouknow, it worked. So I tried Ctrl Alt c and it produced ©. And the other keyboard shortcuts as well. Ctrl Alt t = ™

So all the time I thought this was so clever of Xara, it was actually a Microsoft convention.

Go figure.

Gary, if you were ultra keen you could open MS Word > View > Macros > Macro Name: ListCommands with Macros in: Word commands and create a table of Quick Keys.

You could then compare with my tally of Xara Commands in http://acorn.xara.hosting so see if any others are in common.

To be honest, about the only extended character I use in Word is the em dash and usually I use Alt 0151. Just today I forgot I was in Word and used Ctrl Alt -.

But being only quisi-keen I'll look at your list and see if there are any I have overlooked.
