Default Remove Previous "Clone Tool" Lines Possible?

    Hi-

When using the clone tool I often have to perform a number of little
adjustments and it get tedious seeing a slew of white dotted clone lines
    from previous manuever.

Is there a way to hide those previous attempts?
Would I "flatten image" after each one?

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Bob

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Hmmm, well, I'm still on XDP 16.
Maybe it was something improved upon?

Basically, I draw a circle around an area and either magic erase or move the piece manually.
Then go back to main cursor. Now, I see more areas that need tweaking, so I click the clone stamper
and there is the previous circle or shape of white dotted lines. I can of course keep going but if there's
a number of fixes, I now have a dish of dotted white line spaghetti and it becomes impossible to SEE
the additional little tweaks to fix.

Thanks for point out no problems in 18 though.

    I don't have a file at present.
Was merely asking if someone had a fix for the repetitive dotted lines
that appear when going back to area to continue tweaking additional areas of the image.

In my opinion that just should not happen no matter which version you are using.

I just did a quick example of what I see when
going back to the clone tool having done a few previous
attempts. I hope the attachment works...

Nope, when I click the stamper icon clone tool it merely shows me the pencil
again to add another shape to make. No way to select all per se. Maybe I'm doing
something wrong? My method is to click the stamper icon, draw a circle or shape, hit
magic erase or move the inside manually and then click the cursor arrow icon again.
When I do, all the dotted lines vanish of course....BUT...when I click the stamper again,
any and all previous outline dots re-appear.
