Default Won't buy Xara 18 until popup ads stop on my Xara 17!

I'd like to upgrade to new Xara Designer Pro 18.
But I'm not going to, since my version 17 won't stop popping ads for version 18.
Even after I've checked the box "Don't show this again."

It's too bad that a large company like Magix is stuck with stupid 1990-era marketing tricks.
    Really too bad.
    Costs you money, true that.

Anyone at Magix wants to turn off my Xara 17 popups?

@jon404, do you really want your email to be harvested by Spammers.
It's bad enough Magix bombarding you in your XDA, but...

Ask and I can prune out.

Also moving the Thread to the Dear Xara forum where Xara might suggest Magix does better.

    Acorn

P.S. Xara might not care as marketing is Magix's area and Xara want you to jump to Xara Cloud+ with Xara Pro+.
Acorn - installed and active Xara software: Cloud+/Pro+, XDPX, XWD Premium 15 & 12, XPGD10, X3D7, Xara Xtreme 5, back through time (to CC's Artworks).

let me see - you want to upgrade to version 18, but you are not going to because of the annoying popups asking you to, that you can't stop, even though the certain way to stop those annoying popups is... to upgrade !

hum I think I see what you are saying even though there is not a lot of logic in it as far as I can see

handrawn, perhaps the OP wants to run 17 & 18 side-by-side. In that case, Magix still hammers out the nags on 17...

@jon404, read my recent Post on how to block the nags. The approach comes with no guarantee; it works for me and I mainly use Pro+ for daily work. My other versions are there to remind me how naff Magix is and in support of TGers with older versions.

I upgraded early to get rid of the annoying popup reminder a month or so ago. Now the reminder is popping up again every time I start up. This is EXTREMELY ANNOYING.

is the reminder still to upgrade to version 18, which you have already done, or it because your update service is expired, or something else?

@jon404,maybe you shouldn't quote your own message where the mail address is also present.

You will get annoying F,,,,, popups regardless of upgrading from 17 or 18. I am on 18 and still get offers to upgrade. They could not even spare people who already have the upgrade from them. Xara installed the code that Magix requested I am sure, there is no way that Xara was not involved. If this is true, then I am royally pissed.
