    Default Making a parallax effect

I’m interested in adding some parallax effects on a site. Similar to this site. https://www.fekaduandpartners.com/ and https://www.fekaduandpartners.com/

It would involve adding a sticky stretched image that flows under the site as the viewer scrolls down, creating movement.
    My steps would include,
    - editing the photo and stretch placing the image
    - stick the image in a fixed position
    - optimize image and test

Has anyone tried this process in Xara, and how did it work out. I haven’t seen a lot of this effect on any templates.
    Thanks all in advance

    Bill,

This has been in Xara for awhile now. Place your picture to bottom of your layer on your page and right click - Under web animations you can select a Parallax effect and you can adjust the scroll animation.

Info Re: Making a parallax effect

Bill, what you referenced is not Parallax. It is a fit-to-page background image with transparent panels on the viewing page.

In a Scrolling site (Supersite) & (Conventional) Website you are stuck with one background image.

Without coding, here is an example: Xara - Fixed Page Background.xar

@acorn. I've been playing with your file a bit. Thank You for posting.
One question. Other than a supersite and conventional is there a way to do what you've posted on one page only. I don't want an image on the pasteboard. Let us say the paste board is white.
Couldn't I post images in a bottom layer and lock position of those images.
Thanks again. I love this effect.

Bill, you are welcome to play with a demo created some time ago. It has several parallax effects with different timings (no code in this one) https://initiostar.co.uk/demo/Parallax/ You can change the position of the objects and timings to see the change in effects.

    XAR = Parallax_Headings_Banner.xar

Another variation of the same theme: https://initiostar.co.uk/demo/Parallax2/ and one from w3s https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryh...allax_demo.htm
