Question Can I paint in transparency mode?

I aim to directly paint using transparency modes, e.g. using multiply or luminosity transparency, as it is possible in several other products like Expression.

I know that there is a trick: painting a line, adding transparency, then copy-pasting format/attributes to other objects. It works but it is not elegant.

Do you know a way to paint using transparency modes in Xara (using Art or Scatter brushes, e.g. creating a luminosity brush, a multiply brush, etc.)?
    Thanks.

If you add a Transparency to a Line or Object and have Options > General > give new objects most recent attributes, then you can draw with the drawing tools straight away.

if you don't want 'give new objects most recent attributes' - then make sure nothing is selected clixck transparency tool, move slider on infobar to desired level of transparency and click 'set' on the popup dialog box

it is not possible afaik to paint transparency modes - both the methods acorn and I have mentioned only enable you to draw a new object with a predetermined level of transparency, there is no interaction with other objects as you draw

This is exactly what I was looking for.
In fact, I knew it years ago but, due to seldom use, I forgot this trick.

Thank you for your useful and precious answers!
