You need to tell the image to be PNG.

Is it not the case where you have a PNG image on a stretched background you need to put in a placeholder to avoid the non-stretched background silhouette that appears as a rectangle surrounding the PNG?
You don't notice it most times, but the issue becomes apparent particular on high-res displays.
BTW: I used the Chris/Egg reworked logo - much cleaner. The other two subsidiary logos would be better as graphics and text, or high-res PNGs. Where you wanted all three, you could just combine them.

Thanks Chris, Monday's senior moment
Bill no big thing, it just sound like you've made a bitmap copy but forgot to choose True Colour + Alpha.I ended up with a slight snag though. As you can see the background of the completed logo took on the background of the photo.

Egg showing off with the scientific, Latin name - Bitimapcopta Trucolour Alpha
Solved. Changing to png did the trick. Never would have found that in a million years.
I’m not sure where Xara would be without you fellas. I have about 25 pages of tips from all of you in a file. A terrific learning experience. I can read code, but I can’t write it, but have learned a ton of information from the forum.
Many Thanks, you’re all a credit to Xara.
