    Don't try this at home. Sheesh, can you imagine the computer power this must require. The effects are so hyper-realistic.

    You've got to get the music right and have a purpose - they were wonderful, but lacking something.

    I haven’t listened to that Pink Floyd track for years. I remember the first time I heard those ‘drums’ pop through my speakers made me jump! Definitely going to look at his other films. ‘Beard’ looks really interesting. I really must watch more animation.

    I think maybe a full blown music video or animated film and a demonstration of a CGI technique are not quite the same things to be compared.

    Great links - thanks for posting them! Impressive work.

    As for the processing power they use a lot. People have 35 core CPU cards and may even use render farms.
