For me it's a shame and I want know if this missing feature will be corrected in the future.
No. Xara's philosophy is there are a number of good form building solutions that you can add to your website with a "placeholder." So they want to concentrate on things that are not available.

Some other webdesign sites as Webaccapella have his own form field so why Designer Pro + is with a bad solution, form field is a master part of a website no ?

Sorry but when I buy a car I don't need to buy the passenger seat elsewhere.

I love that quote. However Xara is a a WYSIWYG editor, so all you need to do is create a place holder in your car and you can add whatever seat your heart desires. Or any form for that matter.

But more saliently, Xara designs are not cars, they are fixed structures like a house that can be sited almost anywhere.
As you do not have an engine in a house, the design rely on services being plumbed in. Fixtures and fittings spring to mind.
A form would be a very uncomfortable seat if it keeps changing shape. A form is more like a set of cushions.

    This analogy is quite useful.
Magix sells the plot and collects ground rent every year. You can live there forever but Magix cuts most of the services it provided.
Xara only rents you a fully-fitted property until you leave but you can come back any time as a time-share.

..but you did go with Xara and you will need to source a web form from another source.

    Hi Guys,
I'm the O P of this thread. I apologise for my absence and lack of follow-up with this thread but I've recently got back from an impromtu 6 month tour, so doing a lot of catching up.
Thank you all for your input.
Over many years I've used Serif's WebPlus, Freeway Pro, WYSIWYG, Q'nEWB, Everweb, Sparkle and others which I can't recall and they've all included a form builder within the software. Adding a form to a website is as common place as adding a header or footer, but not so with Xara!
    Anyhow...
Using a couple of suggestions made within this thread, I've tried jqueryform.com and scriptgenerator .net. Taking the latter, I now have a folder on my desktop labelled js and containing 2 js files. The scriptgenerator site has created form.php code which I've copied to a website > placeholder > Web Properties > Replace with HTML Code > HTML Code (body) and this has given me a neat looking form. However, I still have Process.php code to add somewhere - Scriptgenerator says to copy and paste the code into my file. But where? I also need to know what to do with the js folder on my desktop. Some help on this would be very much appreciated.
I'll have a go at jqueryform.com depending on how I get on with this.
    Cheers,
    BrianT
