So I had been repeatedly invited to a particular Discord community, which I just didn't want to start another social media experience. Well I finally broke down and joined the community this weekend. It's called the DSC League or Derwood's Starfinder Combat League. They primarily build Starfinder starships (and are very accomplished at doing so), then face them off in combat scenarios - sometimes full modules, usually just starship combats. They gave me a channel to let me post my own ships (since a lot of my ships use my third party Starships, Stations and Salvage Guide instead of exclusively using the Starfinder Core Rules and the Starship Operations Manual.

Anyway, I posted a 3D illustration of a battle cruiser I designed for my Kaidan Star Empire project, but couldn't find the stats for it, but posted the image anyway. The head of the community got inspired and now we're running a challenge where members of the DSC attempt to design their version of the battle cruiser with a frame and tier limit, but only the illustration to base the build on. After the builds are complete, those ships are going to compete with each other in combat bouts to pick the best one. I've promised whoever wins, will get their name in the credits of the publication that I publish the battle cruiser in, as an Associate Designer - as a prize. Here's the illustration they have to work with for this Kirin class Imperial Naval Battle Cruiser.

So one moment, I'm deciding whehter I want to participate in Discord, now I'm running a contest, giving a prize and head deep involved.
