Minimized open docs, resulted in a mess

I was working on a site, and had to minimize the program. (clicked the top right dash). When I clicked the minimize again I ended up with the program window, and two doc windows on the program workspace much smaller. It's not a big problem just a bit aggravating, and I can't seem to get the workspace back to where it was before.
I'm dumb when it comes to the easy stuff. Any idea how I get back to the normal/normal.
