printing from Xara Designer Pro

when I print the text prints in the selected color but the shapes filled with the same color print much lighter. as if they are printing with a 30% transparency.
how do I correct this?

Welcome to TalkGraphics

Select the shape and then select the Transparency Tool and see if there are any settings on the Infobar that indicate the shape has transparency. If the selection is a group, ungroup and try the same thing.

Also, check the ink in your printer.

another thing, check your printer settings - some 'economy/draft' setting economise on larger areas of colour
