    Default How to make a vintage washed out effect ?

    Hello everyone,

    I am trying to give a washed out (old and used) effect for a colored object to look like a vintage one, any help please ?
    I've tried to edit many brushes but didnt manage to give the exact look i need .

    I am using Xara designer Pro X11 and i've attacehd an example.

    since you have a version of xara that still has the magix live effects you could try appying FX > art filter > painting > presets > cloud (2) or any other texture that suits

    then applying a fractal clouds fill and adjusting that...

    Something like this or not? You could add some damage also. EDIT: I saved the xar also.

    Thank you handrawn I didn't know about this for sure it was just
    the way I did it but hope maybe this helped some at least even though I didn't use gaftlik's image.

    Another easy way is to use an opacity mask like here...
