anchor points and handles

I love to warp text to fit any image. What I'd like to know is can you move one handle on an anchor point independently from the other handle. Input would be appreciated. Thanks.

The best way to answer this question is to try it. You certainly cannot break anything and if you don't like the results you can undo.

But to be clear, how are you warping your text? Are you converting it to editable shapes then editing the characters or are you referring to a Mould Tool envelope?
