    Default Video Capture

Is there a utility that can capture a specific video and save it in a simple format such as MP4?

I have a video on my site http://www.custom-stereograms.com/ that I would like to capture. The video itself requires an index.html page and references two folders on my server.

I would like to have this as a stand alone file.

You might already have such a utility on your PC to do a screen capture: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/h...ure-windows-10

Thanks Boy. I looked at this option but it captures the entire screen. I want to capture only the animation and not the rest of the page.

I use Icecream for recording video direct from the desktop screen: https://icecreamapps.com/. It allows you to select the recording area, pause and crop as required, but you need the Pro version for MP4 output.

Best to run this app without too many other apps running when recording; otherwise the frame rate per second can be affected.

There are lots of video recording apps, but I preferred the simplicity of Icecream.

If you use Win+G > Capture you get an MP4.
You can then use https://www.freeconvert.com/crop-video to crop it down.

Thanks all. Boy did exactly what I needed. If I have to do this again, I have some excellent options.
