Default Official support for Flash ended 31 December 2020

Probably time for Xara to do a bit of spring cleaning!

Way back, I had some great fun using Flash, but the best stuff was always produced using action script, which I could never quite get my head around.

These fish used to swim from one side of the page to the other! (how exciting! ).

And now they are frozen in time. Too bad about Flash. And yes, it is time for Xara to revisit another orphaned feature.

Egg, I am more than little spooked by that! That is so close to how the original flash animation used to look. I’m definitely going to investigate animating svg’s. Was that done using Vivus?

Whoops! Didn't mean to spook you Jono

No this was created in SVGator

I have the Pro version for $144 per year but they have a free version so you can try it out. A bit of a learning curve required and unlike Flash you can't have .swf's loading other .swf's but you can get around this. Their customer support is excellent. The company is a Veitnamese I believe.

Xara exported svg's import very nicely into svgator. Only issue I have it uses a 72ppi values (obviously an IOS cross-over) rather than Windows 96dpi.

This one has four svg place holders overlayed on each other. The fish animation is 20 secs long, the three weed animations are 3 secs long and just resized and repositioned in Xara. The weeds have tweens, which are smooth.

Hi HD. Not as far as I know. I don't think audio and svgs can be put together. I'll do a quick search.

Apparently you can. However not on the software I'm using.
