Default create color theme under new folder, come back it is gone. how to save a palette

Hi, I right click under my untitled.xar folder, in the Color Gallery. Select New, New Named color. I create 3 new colors, seen in screen shot. I save project. I close Xara. I reopen Xara. my colors are not saved.

also, is there a CSV file format, perhaps I could import names and color codes, like
    my yellow,ffffe1
    myblue,0078cc

This would save me a bunch of right clicking.

named colours are saved with the document in which they are used

if you want to have them in a new document you will need to create a new default file template that includes them

there is an option [ view tab] to remove unused named colours automatically when closing file, this not active/ticked by default - so make sure this has not been ticked

thanks. The utilities, View Tab setting worked. They are now staying in Xara project. There is a free Cyotek palette editor, that exports to .pal files. copied it into, C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Designer Pro X\15\Palettes, and then opening. Then Xara creates a folder for it in Color Gallery, but gives error, Can't open that file type. It is .pal like the other files in this folder. Any ideas? Thanks.

I created a custom palette of colors many years ago that resides off the page in my default document. I named each color using the Apply, Remove or Inspect Names of Objects feature (the Yellow name tag icon).

The colors appear on the color line at the bottom of the screen as well as in the Color Gallery.

xara colour palettes are in .JCW format

the term PAL is sometimes used as a specific file type, and sometimes generically
