    Default WDP17 new features...

I updated WDP17 yesterday and can't find how to do the following which are shown on the new features page.
Downloaded the 583 page??? "Help" pdf and did a search for "save settings" - no results; "paragraph designer" - no results found - "tab leaders" - 5 results but don't see how to get the example shown; - and "optimized links" - you can guess the result.
Seriously??? - any one else know how to access these "features"

It seems that since Magix has taken over, things have become totally ridiculous!

    TAB LEADERS
Have you used Table of Contents ever before?
    That is where this works.
    http://releasenotes.xara.hosting/des...Anchor:58WSlSx

    SAVE SETTINGS
AFAICS this is not a thing you do, it just happens.
It is more "Settings are Applied to Updates".
    A Reset is available:
Designer will use the user’s current settings. In case users do need to reset all settings back to their default values, a new Default Settings option has been added to Utilities > Options > Tune-ups.
    NO-FOLLOW LINKS
Web Properties > Link: Checkbox 'Nofollow'.
I would search the Web for when and not to use this.

    PARAGRAPH DESIGNER
i can only hazard a guess that this is Magix's flannel for keep with Next Para & Widows and Orphans.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks guys - I'll work my way through. I looked for documents like this but could only find the New Features - https://www.magix.com/us/web/xara-we...ures/#c1207083

ID:	128316 - of course they wouldn't!!! why on earth not?

Still cant find THe Paragraph Designer anywhere....

I tried creating a new tool - the pen tool which is a quick way to create/trace shapes - saved in the LH toolbar and the top one. Create template and name it. Close WDP. Reopen - Open>template name. No pen tool. Other buttons I dragged onto the tool bars have stuck, but pen doesn't.

Sorry for the rant, but it pees me off when they showcase new features and then accessing them is difficult!

the pen tool button does not persist and you would have to ask xara why not; in their nannyish way I think they consider it a tool for 'experts' and confusing for newbies, and maybe would rather you did not use it

if your WD version allows you to customise keystrokes then you can set one up for pen tool [ historically shift+F5 ]- in my XDP15.1 that at least persists from session to session [but it is only default in classic keys, not standard keys where you would need to set it manually, but it should then persist]]

Thanks Handrawn - only in P&GD - we're not meant to be drawing in WDP!
