We need some more details about what you are asking for.
For the Power Point, are you asking about running the slide show on your Web site? With Xara, I have not seen a Power Point ran on a Xara site, so not sure it is even possible. Nothing comes up in search.
With a lot of the sites out there now, even WordPress most people convert the Power Point to PDF and let the user just look at the PDF.
What is your question about PDF?

Import the PowerPoint Presentation to a XAR doc, choose Web Export options and select Supersite, change the first page filename (to something other than index e.g. "slide" ), and publish to the same directory as your main website.
Create a proportionally sized placeholder (same as your presentation) in your main website and use the iframe code:
Add a Powerpoint logo and link this to your original presentation should you want your visitors to have access to the presentation. e.g https://initiostar.co.uk/demo/Presentation/Code:<iframe src="slide.htm" name="slide" height="100%" width="100%" style="border:none;"></iframe>
PDFs - depends on your design objectives - I would extract the content (via import) to the main website and make the PDF available as a download.

can easily just export the PPT to PDF
so = what is best way to allow "READ" a pdf (ie not want it to be DL)
or another option is to have the PPT exported as images and just load the images
but I want to some form of page-turning
and not sure how this (and all solutions) will also look on mobile versions
You may have already seen this, but here’s an example of a Supersite presentation with bullet point and page transitions:

And here’s Xara’s support article about Supersites:

Great scoop! ty!!
will edit the pdf to be landscape
the supersite looks EZ
(not sure how some of the pages has individual items appear)
eg like animated fly-ins for the bullets etc
this is not needed now - but in the future -- might be nice to have
For another option is you could use something like a converter from PDF to to HTML flip book that you would place in an Iframe. These converters are fairly expense but there are some that have free ones with advertising.
I have played with pageflip.io and it works fairly well.
