Default New Website - Mobile issue

    Hi,

Updated portfolio using the photo gallery in Xara, happy with the results .

    https://marctellier.com

There is problem with mobile devices though, the images doesn't show up.
When resizing the window on a computer, every size (supersite) works in firefox and safari.

If anyone have any clue I would really appreciate.

    Marc

Fastastic work Marc! I never knew!

I looked on my iPhone and no images. I have no idea why not. I used Safari and Edge. Same.

Are your images on the MouseOff layer?

Hmm? And you say when you preview in your browser by making the screen narrow you can see the images?

What happens if you delete the whole site and republish?

Acorn, Egg, Gary, anyone have any other ideas?

Now what is really bizarre is when I narrow my browser on my computer, I see the mobile variant!

I can't help with iPhone, sorry.

Two Variants is overkill - use Scale to Fit Width and a single 640px Mobile size.
I would avoid the use of the HighSlide carousel as you are duplicating images and photos for little benefit as you have not added any Title or Alt text or other description and have ignore the built-in carousel features.
None of the images or photos have Image Filenames.
As the pages are tall, you need some up/down navigation.
It is not a Supersite as you have separate index.html, index_photo.html and index_info.html files published into the same folder.

But can you see the images on your Android phone? And any idea why the images might not be showing up?

They do not show and probably for a number of the reasons I listed.
If I switch to Desktop Mode on my phone, things appear.

There are simply too many things going on that could confound the browser rendering.

So, remove bad design aspects and you gain a better site.
    From there you can investigate.

    Copy the design files.
Delete everything apart from one image, one photo and one logo and publish to a sub-folder and check.
If still failing, remove the HighSlide settings.
    Add in Image Filenames.

Basically, eliminate back until something works and then build up again.

I religiously check each Variant against six browsers on my Desktop and additionally force Responsive sizes through the Developer Tools.
    I publish and check again.
Emulations on phones are expensive and it is actually cheaper to buy a phone when it is for a larger commission.

First & foremost Marc WOW! Fantastic illustrations.

I can only confirm that on my iPhone there are just black boxes where the images (thumbnails) should be. Clicking on one does correctly open the HighSlide image correctly however, which isn't much use without the thumbnail image though It's also the same on the Android tablet I have.

Perhaps you could attach a cut down version of the site as a xar file so we can have a look-see?

As an aside on your Info page you have:

His partipation at artistic events has also been recognized with international awards
    I think you mean participation?

    Thanks for the pointers !

Acorn, I’ll look into those details next week.
Being very unfamiliar with websites and html those suggestions are very helpful.

Gary, yeah it’s a puzzle to me as why it doesn’t work on the mobile version.
Thinking about it, I am using version 15 to generate the website, could that be the problem ?

    Ipad doesn’t work either...

Egg, thanks for the nice comment and I really appreciate the spellchecking, didn’t see that one !
    I’ll upload a sample if I’m unsuccessful.

    Marc
