Having trouble editing the colors of my NavBar, etc

Editing the navbar doesn't seem to make much change
Edit the colors and they don't reflect
Even when I published

I also want the page I'm sitting on have a highlighted tab
Or bolded font or something to let the viewer know what page is sitting
This was a standard feature in my old program


if I click the ungroup button make changes
How do I regroup it to make another NavBar

ok -- looks like the POPUP style refers to the sub-menus on the Nav Bar
still having issues setting a current page to make menu Look Different
even tried NO to repeat every page =

The current page (top level pages only) show the mouseover button. Sub-menu pages are not highlighted. We have been asking for years for better nav bar features but I am not going to hold my breath.

There is one way to get the current page (top level only) to be different than mouseoff and mouseover. Create a new layer over the MouseOver layer and name it MouseDown. This button will indicate the current page and will be unique from the other two button states.

I prefer to create my menus using pop-up layers. It is a lot of work but the effect is better. Here is an old example. All the menu buttons work and link to pages in this demo site http://gwpriester.com/menu-test/

last night
I found a solution
1. used a navbar from the library
2/ had repeat t every page
3. STOPPED repeating ALL pages
4. edited each one by hand (made the CUrrent page have BOLD AND DIFFERENT COLOR TEXT)
4a. but the color would reset ... hmmm why
5. FOR FUN = FOUND WEB ANIMATION
5A. if click current page - the button fades away
5B. if mouse over pages with links - the button wobbles

then tried new approach
made nav
repeat all
un-repeat all
ungroup all
edit each page and each button
sort of got what I wanted = will play more later
(this is too much time for navbars :P
