Upgrade to WDP17 on 2nd machine?

Last month I upgraded (free) from v16 to v17 on my laptop - all good.
I also have v16 on a 2nd machine but it slipped my mind to do the upgrade before it expired at the end of July.
Is there any way I can get v17 on to my other machine?
I can copy the cache on my primary machine and paste it into the v16 cache so at least I have access to the Designs Gallery

I could be wrong here but doesn't Xara allow u 2 machines to install on? so if u login to where u bought from (Magix prolly) u should see 2 installs of v16 (you can deactivate if you plan to uninstall and not use 16 anymore) and one v17 install meaning u should have 1 install remaining.

Least that's how I thought of it tho I only ever used one at a time (not 2 simultaneous installs)

yes it does allow 2 installs - but the issue is whether you can update the second one from 16 to 17

if the update from version 16 to version 17 on the first machine was done 'free' during active update service, then the update on the second machine should have been done at the same time; it is too late once the active update service has expired

at least that is how I understand it, but someone may know different

LGF, as you are out of cover, Magix will only activate your purchase version. Don't uninstall or deactivate your v16 as a reactivation will only give you your purchase one.

Xara sold you perpetual use of that with all its Bugs.

following on from what acorn has just said.. it shows 16 because that is what you purchased - you upgraded to 17 'free', it does not count as a point at which to start again, or upgrade out of cover

my bad. I have always upgraded yearly. I did not know if no upgrade, when installing a new version it will not show that in ur account as an installed and activated version and allow u to reinstall it smh. I tried lmao
