Default Two questions for use Webdesigner efficiently

    Hi Xara Webmasters,

    two little questions.

What's the difference between "duplicate" and "clone" ? For me it's the same thing.

And how do you manage the graphics when you use the effects, transparency, shape, crops, object, groups ... for web export ? Do you create your picture and export in bipmap for renew the assembly or you let in place ?

duplicate is offset - you can change the offset in options...

whereas clone puts the copy directly over the original

changing the duplication distance [offset] is very useful when duplicating objects on a page which need to be a set distance apart for example

sorry I cannot help you with your second question, I am not a webmaster...

Creating a Bitmap to manipulate is inefficient if you decide to scale up at a later stage as you have to re-apply effects all over again.

Unless you need a Bitmap Copy for some reason, you should just drop another version from the Bitmap gallery as that will have the higher resolution up to the time you Publish. Any rework and you are still benefiting from its inherent resolution.

Always use Image Filename when using the same un-effected picture in several places (Main, Variants, Pages).
If you know how to, use CSS Effects on these to ensure you minimise the number of generated images in your design.
Consider the use of Live Copies.
