thumbnail issue in win 10

Recently I got these two and any future saves I do with xara pro 17 not show up as thumbnail in file explorer.
It happened after I removed Xara +

Right click one of the blanks and choose 'Properties'
Click 'Change'
Choose 'Designer Pro X17' from the list

You may have to click 'More Apps' and scroll to the bottom to click 'Look For Another App...'

Chris, there is no change command. I tried open with and nothing. I think somewhere on this forum there is a solution. Thanks

You don't have this? Been in every version of Windows that I can remember.

if you mean you cannot see the thumbnail of the content in the icon, then if what Chris suggests does not work you might need to purge [clean up] the windows thumbnail cache; it is possible that pro + still has 'ownership' of the thumbnails which is a registry thing and purging the cache should fix it [will reset all the thumbnails] see here:
