Do I get a free upgrade to version 17

I have version Pro X v16,
Got in October of 2019, ie less than 1 year ago
I think I get free updates for a year
I clicked on the update button in my pop up

it say = pay $129 to extend my Service
I think I should just get to do it download for free?
Please advise
And if I do new download, is a separate program?
I got this idea what it says run separately??
I guess I still fetch the old Zara files for updates and edits??

Go to the Xara Products again and instead of Upgrade pick Trial.

Download, install and add in your v16 email and licence number.
