Installing Xara Designer Pro X17 - beside or over Pro X11

I've just purchased Designer Pro X17. My current version is Pro X11.

While in the middle of creating a new website and other projects...

When I install Pro X17, will it install over Pro X11?
If it does, are all my current settings/layouts going to be okay?

Or will Pro X17 install as a separate program?
If so, should I delete Pro X11 before I install, or afterwards?

They are separate installs so you can install V17 alongside V11 and run them both at the same time if you wish. V17 won't install over V11.

V17 is backwards compatible so all your previous documents and projects should open without any issues.

It's up to you really whether to keep V11 installed or not. You can always re-install it if needed.

Seamus, I would never uninstall a "perpetual" XDA until you run out of space. Also keep the old one there until you have copied over UI settings, templates and the like.
V11 predates the Update Service so a re-install will not revert; just check you have your version as an executable before you jump.
