Default Using Wordpress blog in a Xara web designer page?

My boss wants to incorporate her own Word press Blog page into our Xara website that I maintain http://www.museum.tv

So, where that current page that says "Blog" she wants to keep the museum header and footer, but wants to the Word press page to appear inside the page.

Do I do this somehow with the use of a placeholder?

    Thanks Todd

I think your best bet is to search this forum for WordPress. To my knowledge there is no low-maintenance way to call a WP 'page' into a Xara frame. I tried this in early versions of Xara and found it constantly breaking connection. I have not tried it since Xara version 15. I am sure the more Xara savvy members will chime in soon.

I've searched these forums. There is nothing unfortunately. I could install a new version of Wordpress on the server, I just have no idea how to tie it into Xara Web Designer to create a working blog.

You would place the blog page in a placeholder: set the width and height of the placeholder to be the same as in the iframe, pick a border colour to match your design or use "border:none". You want to pick-up the mobile variant from the Wordpress site so adjust the width to suit. I used 480px as this will work in your mobile varian too.

Play around with the width and height to suit your design, but I would also export using Scale-to-fit-Width. Demo XAR doc attached.

    Code:
    <iframe src="https://museum.tv/blog" style="border:solid 4px #999999" width="480" height="600"></iframe>

Footnote: BTW the Covid19 alert msg on the Wordpress site is not properly adjusting to the browser size.

Info Re: Using Wordpress blog in a Xara web designer page?

Never had a problem with embedding WP sites.

I scale the contents down to 90%so it doesn't dominate the page.
CSS in the Page Head. IFRAMEs details in the Placeholders' Body.

Including the Blog pages? That is where I ran into problems. The static pages were doable but the blog pages and any commenting features did not seem to take. I eventually just linked the viewer to the blog page and linked them back to the site. The OP was asked to link Blog pages. Thanks.

DF, yes blogging comments were also handled fine.

Glad you worked out a way ahead.
