I would guess if it is not where it is in the graphics program, then it is one of those features not implemented in the web program...

not weird - the products are marketed for specific use - annoying, yes if you loose out on a feature because xara does not think it necessary in that specific use

Another reason to just get the full package - Xara Designer Pro X.

I have P&GD16 as well as WDP16 - why on earth would I want to pay $129 for ProX17 ?

Convenience. Both programs plus P&LD in one program; no need to switch back and forth between programs.

The three components of DPX are WDP, P&GD, and Page & Layout Designer. The last of these has not been updated since version 11, and for many of us, it accomplishes little that the other two can’t handle. The list price for new purchase is $100 for WDP and $60 for P&GD. Compare the $160 to the $299 for DPX, and it is considerably more economical.

I’ve been using WDP since 2014 and purchased P&GD a couple of months ago. I personally find it helpful to “compartmentalize” the development of my graphics and photos and to transfer the results into my web design. But that’s just me.

That said, each one has some functionality that isn’t available in the other. And you always have to be careful if you open and save a file back and forth. Some web properties get lost if you open the file in P&GD and save it there.
