Thumbs down Help get rid of the Update Service popup

    Hi,
"Update Service period expired". YES, I KNOW, but I do NOT NEED an update. Please help me get rid of this intrusive service.

Yes, it's bloody annoying, the only way I know is to use Windows Control Panel to stop MagiXara from calling home.

Thanks for the advice. Could you give more detailed information on how to do it?

Thanks for the help, but I would be grateful for a more detailed description. Forum search does not work. I can not find @acorn's post.

Yes, thank you, I already found it. This firewall method works fine: https://www.howtogeek.com/227093/how...dows-firewall/

    The Post was https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...026#post620026.

You will need the right folder for your product and version.

I also disabled the (Magix) UPS folder in the same place.

It is clearly useful for all but those with a current Update service need to undo these to occasionally check for updates (rare as hen's teeth) and nag back to Xara to get Magix to clean up.

Thank you Acorn. I already blocked it with the firewall. Next time I use your method as a simpler one.
And the nagging of users has no effect on Magix. Unfortunately.
