Yes, they started it on March 20 ... I downloaded Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer ... and then virtually immediately bought Photo. and if I can spare some more cash before the offer ends I may buy Designer too. I figure with Xara P&GD and Affinity Photo I have software capable of doing almost anything, but for the cost, Designer is almost too good to pass up, I just don't know if I really need it. I was very surprised how "similar" the interface was to Xara in a number of area's ... just cant get used to having to open new layers all the time, instead of just manipulating individual objects though.

chales moir [ yes he] once responded to the request for nested layers in xara by saying that grouping objects was 'good enough' and in fact the equivalent of layering
affinity does nested layers; affinity understands layers -so just think of them as 'objects' in the C.M. sense....
