    Well Gary, I have spent a lot of time trying any combination of Mouse Off Over & Down on a Button or NavBar to achieve nothing to match what the sparse Xara Help describes or what you suggest.

    Could you offer up a button and NavBar across a number of pages so I can dig into it to understand where I am adrift?

    Thanks gary, I was building mine totally from scratch but somehow I had crated a Navbar Group of one of the buttons and was trying to NavBar that with other groups!

    MouseDown show the NavBar button in a "clicked" state for the page it is linked to.

    CSS is easier.
