    Like a lot of things in Xara there are many ways to achieve the same result. The problem with using shadows is your introducing a bitmap, destroying the all vector approach. Acorns method retains a vector but if placed over a none white background retains a white edge all around the leaf.

    Well if your complicit, your complicit in helping me design a logo for my new website Maryjane-Media I won't leave a link although I am sure you can figure it out because the site wasn't designed in Xara. Thanks all for the help as all of the approach's will work since it is going on a white background. I think I will go with Eggs approach though because there may be a day that I might want to put it on a different background.
