Bug - there are no instructions to the contrary but having Smart Transform set Off and then stretching Timeline 03 is destructive and can not be undone.
It doesn't occur like this for Timeline 02.

Sorry to say, the same occurs with Timeline 04 and even more strangely with Timeline 05.
