    there are a lot of pebbles too, the east yorkshire coast from Bridlington down to the Humber being glacial boulder-clay, sometimes it can be just like walking on scree when it banks up...

    I really must get down to that part of the coast when things settle down. I remember studying LSD (longshore drift) at school. I grew up by the sea (dan south) and often long for the smell and sound of the sea. Sometimes when the Shetland mussels are being cleaned at work I get a good lungful off salty air. Don’t know when that’s going to happen again!
