SSL warnings got bigger by browsers

So yes I do not have SSL nor do I want want right now. I may when my site is all done and ready which can be years from now and then have godaddy do it all. But currently I am hosting a one pager on Xara and recently noticed any indexed google search going to my site displays what is below which is very upsetting.

Is there a way around this. I do not really want to install 3 month free ones, too much work and hassle.

Just want to hear what your input is.

So you seem to have a divert to designfacet.xara.hosting as it then resolves to: http://designfacet.xara.hosting/designfacet/.

I did initially get the error page for designfacet.com and then:

This server could not prove that it is designfacet.xara.hosting; its security certificate is from *.taskpilot.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

I have tried in all my browsers and did not error the error page at all.

Did you provide this security certificate? If you are just using http://, it should be installed.
If not then is this MagiXara's fault?

Well. The domain is at godaddy without SSL. I forward (redirect) the domain to Xara. This was not the case until recently.
I wonder if it is on my system only or others see the warning too?

Oh I did recently tired a free ssl but deleted the files off of the xara server. Could that have messed things up?

Maybe I should upload everything from scratch.

When I clicked on the link it went to http:// but got no error then for giggles added https:// and got the original error behzad showed in #1 so my guess is it has only to do with ssl certificate or lack thereof.

As Gypsyjoe says, you will get this error with any website that doesn't have a SSL certificate if you try to visit it via a secure protocol like https://. If you don't have an SSL certificate and visit the website via http://, you'll only get a warning in the address bar that its not secure.

Not so much an issue if your website is fairly static. If you have any forms that capture information (e.g. even a contact us form), it might be worth considering getting a certificate. Godaddy are normally pretty reasonably priced for these sort of things.

Also another thing to note - some form providers will give you an iframe link to a website that is secure. This can't be inserted into an insecure website otherwise you'll get a mixed content warning.

Xara hosting doesn't support SSL unfortunately.

Thanks Rob. So, I asked godaddy which I registered my domain with, if I should purchase the SSL from them and they said yes, regardless of it being forwarded to xara or not. So right now it is being forwarded to xara with Masking. Is that correct?

It wouldn't work if you brought a SSL certificate and then forwarded the domain to Xara (as it would then be forwarding to an insecure address).

If you have your domain with Godaddy, why don't you use their hosting as well?

Thanks for the info, your right. Right now my business is on a standstill due to family issues taking care of elderly dad, so I did not want to go full blown on it yet. But I think having a website that is hassle free even if it is a one pages is better than those screen warnings.
