Publish/upload of new site is not showing correctly

Hi all,
I've had a few issues publishing websites in the past. They don't appear as they should but this goes after a while (usually 12 hours). I'm a bit confused at the moment however. I remade my website, published it via Xara to ftp and it looks all over the place. I waited. I refreshed my browser. I cleared the history and cache and it's still showing incorrectly. I then deleted the html pages in my ftp 'space' and republished. It's still wrong. Then I deleted them again and published to a folder on my desktop and uploaded these.
Still not working.
The preview shows correctly. The published files show correctly on my desktop. The website even looks correct in gtmatrix when I tried to test it, but 20 odd hours after I last did anything, and with numerous history/cache clears it's still horrendous.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I cannot give much more than moral support here. Yes, the site is splattered about.

I would suggest that your server provider is caching old content, particularly the HTML positional detail.

I use CloudFlare though my SP and I switch to Developer Mode to purge such caching. You may have similar.

If you Preview and it is all aligned then I would advise this is the case.
To "prove" it, republish to a sub-folder and all will be spot on.

PS the thing I really don't 'get' is why it displays perfectly when I run that GTmetrix test - the wee screenshot that shows up is exactly what I have the site looking like. That's really confusing the heck out of me!

That worked! I don't know what 1and1.co.uk (Ionos or whatever they go by now) use but I googled 'purge caching on 1and1' and came up with this;
