Default What is cheapest way to share the editing of Xara Designer files with Xara newbie?

    Hello

I want to plan a furniture move with my relative, using Xara Designer.

What is the cheapest way to do this?

My relative needs to be able to edit the files too. I was thinking of using a very old version of Xara, but has the file format changed over the years?
I still use Xara Designer Pro X10 (and refuse to upgrade until Xara release a "4K friendly" version), but all my relative needs is to do is the very basic stuff (i.e. Move shapes around a screen)

Version 10 is an older version and if you can find a copy should be a bargain.

Use Xara Cloud. It is quite cheap, being free, for your described task.
It comes with the bonus that your relative can add in Comments and Replies on the Xara Cloud design page.

You can design in v10, publish to the cloud and your relative can edit and you can re-open the amended version in v10. It might tell you it was created in a later version but you can ignore this.

Always keep a Master Copy with a different name elsewhere.

Might be a lot better to go to lunch and take a paper pad, pencil and ruler!

@ pauland - have to say I would do tend to do it that way, unless it was with my brother in law who lives near vancouver [unless he was paying of course ] - it would probably work out quicker in the end.. unless the lunch was liquid...

I can't really imagine doing it very well remotely and I can't imagine having someone else arranging my furniture either!

If your brother needs help, I will supply the paper, pencil and ruler, he just needs to provide the plane ticket. Let me know.. ;-)
